Tom Meany

Throughout his career, Meany worked for several newspapers, including the ''Brooklyn Daily Times'', ''New York World-Telegram'', ''New York Star'' and the ''Morning Telegraph''. His book ''The Magnificent Yankees'', about members of the baseball team the New York Yankees baseball team, was published in 1952 by Grosset & Dunlap. In 1961, he joined the New York Mets baseball team as a publicity director, and later serve as promotions director.
